jane and the john doe's - talented five piece

Still struggling to come to terms with their pasts (they can’t remember them), this group of individuals met in a Government Facility for the Musically Insane and found that, collectively, they could make music and make it well.

They know nothing of their pasts. They do not remember their names. Instead, they use the names granted to them by the government – Jane “The Voice” Doe, John “Keys” Doe, John “Animal” Doe; John “Bass Man” Doe and John “Axe Man” Doe.

Jane and the John Doe’s memory misfortune is your gain. They only know how to play and how to entertain. With an eclectic collection of songs at their disposal, from classic Rock’n’Roll to up-to-the-minute chart hits, Jane and the John Doe’s make no apology for the wear and tear of your shoes – they will be smokin’ before the end of the night.

With a state of the art sound system, state of the art lighting and sheer mind-blowing musical talent coupled with a professionalism and friendliness unparalleled in the industry, you can be assured that Jane an the John Doe’s are the ideal band for your function or venue.

Jane “The Voice” Doe – With her soulful, bluesy voice, Jane is not just another female warbler. Jane knows how to deliver a song and put on a show. Additionally, she adds some much needed glamour to the band as well as playing bass guitar in a few numbers. A clue to her past is her Scottish accent…..

John “Keys” Doe – provides keyboards, rhythm guitar, backing vocals and some lead vocals. With a keyboard rig set-up that resembles the bridge of the U.S.S. Enterprise, it is amazing that he has not yet been “beamed up”. Oddly enough, he also has a Scottish accent and can often be heard shouting, “She cannae take much mair, Captain!”.....

John “Animal” Doe – bangs on the bongo’s like there is no tomorrow and drives the rhythm from behind his cage. He drives a purple van, speaks with a Kiwi accent and is known to flex his rather well-developed muscular frame wearing nothing but a pair of budgie-smugglers and baby oil! .....

John “Bass Man” Doe – This guy is the most energetic bass-player that you are ever likely to see, but still exudes a coolness that all bass players should have. But the coolness quickly evaporates when he straps on his mandolin for a couple of tunes! Speaking with a Kiwi accent, he often addresses the other members of the band like unruly school kids and insists on being called, “Sir”! ....

John “Axe-Man” Doe – providing both rhythm and lead guitar, he has an amazing array of guitars and he knows how to play them. He speaks with a South African accent and is known to enjoy playing with, of all things, Algae. Hmmm……..strange guy! ....
